Oak Brook 'Alum' Hold Spirited Luncheon

The Oak Brook, Illinois chapter of Perkin-Elmer retirees held a luncheon get-together at an old watering hole, the York Tavern in Oakbrook on Saturday, April 26th.
It was a very enthusiastic meeting, one of the best we've ever had. In attendance were Andy Pusinelli; John Downs; Ron Anderson; Bob Janziewski; John Jardon; Len Tribuani; Ken Brooks; Dan Keogh; and Fred Gruber. Many stories from our working days at Perkin Elmer were shared by all. Perkin-Elmer was a unique company to work for with a very definite family type atmosphere. All of us really enjoyed working together and have many good memories.
Everyone is doing quite well and enjoying retirement to the fullest. Several are still working, because they still like a work routine and others are active with other things like travel, flying, doing things they never had time to do before, and sometimes watching their grandchildrens' athletic activities. The group meets twice a year so that they can stay in touch.
